- Approximately 30 minutes flying time Professional instructor Pre-flight briefing Your experience commences with a classroom briefing on the functions of the aircraft's controls, followed by a pre-flight inspection on your training aircraft. As you take a seat inside, your instructor will talk you through the start up, taxiing and take-off, before you lift off into your first flying lesson. During the flight, feel all the thrills and spills of flying an aircraft, and soar up to an exhilarating 1500-2500ft. Following the flight, there will be an opportunity for you to discuss any questions you have on flight training with your instructor.
